Dramatic Black and White

Today, over at http://www.iheartfaces.com/ the focus is on B&W.

I am not sure that this falls into the "dramatic" category but I am positive it is B&W. I took this picture about the time I was starting to experiment with aperature and shutter speed. Not knowing anything about either - I feel like I got lucky. I love the movement in this picture as well as the unbridled joy of a little girl swinging. Today my wish for all you is to feel that joy for at least one moment of your day.

  5. I love how many different shades and patterns of black and white you have here...from the black swings and pants, the white poe, and even her striped shirt...it all makes the picture so much more interesting to look at!

  10. Capture is definitely the right word for this one! Little ones move SO fast, even when they aren't on a swing, that you have to lasso that moment or it's gone. Well done, and it's just perfect in b&w!
