COSTUMES

ShutterLove Tuesday's theme is Costumes this week over at Trendy Treehouse.  I couldn't resist entering this picture.  This is one of my twin granddaughters who announced to me that she wanted to be Wendy right after her sister said she was going to be Tinkerbell.  Naturally I thought "Wendy" from Peter Pan but she quickly informed me - "NO - Wendy the hamburger girl "!!  Making the costume was such fun and she did look so precious !

This week at Trendy Treehouse the Shutter Love Tuesday theme is Collages.  A while back - I actually figured out how to do it and went crazy.  Now, of course, it would take me an hour to do another !!  Here was one of my favorites from a "Cousins" shoot.

Pumpkins

This week over at Trendy Treehouse the theme for Shutterlove Tuesday is, very appropriately, PUMPKINS.  If you live in the Dallas Texas area and you have not been to the Arboretum at this time of the year ..... get up off your duff and head that way as soon as possible.  The flowers are always beautiful and with the addition of 40,000+ pumpkins it is like a fantasyland. 

 I love this photo and luckily for me it has a couple of PUMPKINS in it along with a very special Punkin ~

Bloopers/Outtakes

This week over at Trendy Treehouse the Shutter Love subject is Bloopers and Outtakes. I am sure we all have been faced with this scenario ..... You have been shooting family pictures for about an hour and your little subjects have just had ENOUGH and dear, sweet Mom and Dad are trying to keep a positive attitude and be sure you have that perfect shot. These were two of my favorites.

It has been my experience that Dad usually bails before Mom !

The Shutter Love subject today is FACES so I decided this might be an appropriate entry. These two monkeys are my twin grandgirls who, along with their 4 yr old big sister, make photographing them a challenge. After almost three years of trying to get the "perfect" picture of them, I have decided that pictures like these are THE perfect ones !!

Dramatic Black and White

Today, over at http://www.iheartfaces.com/ the focus is on B&W.

I am not sure that this falls into the "dramatic" category but I am positive it is B&W. I took this picture about the time I was starting to experiment with aperature and shutter speed. Not knowing anything about either - I feel like I got lucky. I love the movement in this picture as well as the unbridled joy of a little girl swinging. Today my wish for all you is to feel that joy for at least one moment of your day.

Focusing on Angles

This week over at http://www.iheartfaces.com/ the challenge is all about angles.

In anticipation of this week - I turned my camera a bit yesterday and came up with this. The problem I encountered was ... with my speedlight in the shoe - the flash bounces in strange and unpredictable ways. Imagine that ... something unpredictable in photography !!!

What a fun and interesting idea - thanks for planting yet another seed.

Constructive Feedback Friday - THANKS in advance for your feedback !

I am always taking pictures of my grandgirls and then cropping up close for drama. I loved this picture but ....... it just seems to lack any POP. HELP
I use Corel PSP mostly and have just started TRYING to learn Photoshop CS3.
